Google Ads retires portfolio bid strategies
Responding to marketers’ consistent demands for simpler bidding, Google has announced the retirement of Enhanced CPC as a portfolio bid strategy.
In addition, Google also announced the retirement of the target spend setting as an option for Maximize Clicks portfolios. In other words, if you’re using Maximize Clicks as a portfolio bid strategy, you’ll no longer have the option to set a single target spend level across the campaigns within that portfolio.

Another interesting development in the week was the launch of Place Topics by Google. Place topics use data based on reviews to provide concise information on what customers highlight about your business. In short, it summarizes the reviews left by your customers into tags.
